Flatplans
Here are my two flat plans I have created for my movie poster which I will use as audience to create my actual movie magazine covers.
For this flat plan I have placed the masthead at the top of the cover as it is one of the codes and conventions used in creating a movie magazine. I have also placed the masthead at the top of the magazine cover so it will look more professional and realistic. I have included a skyline at the top of the movie magazine to incise the viewers into buying the magazine. I have placed the price, date and issue number in between the masthead and the skyline so it is easy to see and doesn't take up much room. I have placed the main image in the middle of the magazine cover so it will incise viewers to buy the magazine. I have the placed the cover lines around the main image so it doesn't take away from the main image. I have used buzzwords to entice the viewers into reading the magazine and I have included a barcode to make the magazine cover more realistic.

I have placed the cover line around the main image so it doesn't take away from the main attraction and I have put the main cover line across the main image as it is related to the image. I have also used a pull quote realised to the main article to entice the viewers to buy the magazine and read the article. By adding a barcode makes the movie magazine more realistic and more professional. I have added a puff to the front cover of the magazine which will draw the attention of the viewer to a new piece of information relating to the magazine.

Flat Plans
Here are my two flatplans i have created for my movie poster which i will use as audience to create my actual movie poster.

For this flat plan I have place the tagline under the title of the movie as it is a convention used the the poster made for The Purge. I feel that it will be well seen as you would look at the title first and then you would see the tagline directly below it and may entice the viewer to go an watch the movie.
I have placed the main image of the main character at the left side of the poster so it will catch the viewers attention when looking at the poster and it also allows me to be able to put a background image onto the poster of the location where the film is set.
I have included from the producers of as if the viewer has seen other films made by the producer that may entice them to go and see the movie even more therefore making the target audience wider.
I have include the names of the actress at the bottom corners of the poster beside the billing block which may entice the viewers to go and watch the movie if they see that there is well know actresses in it or if they are a fan of the cast.
I have put the billing block at the bottom of the page after researching different movie posters and seeing that it is mainly at the bottom of the page. I have decided to keep with the convention as i believe it to be very effective and it wont take away from the main poster as there tends to be a lot of text involved in the billing block.

I have decided to make my second flat plan landscape as it would differentiate my poster from many posters that are made and seen today. By using landscape allows my poster to stick out from many posters today and may be more memorable to the viewer and entice them to see the movie.
My image will take up the majority of the poster as it will attract the viewer to the poster. My image will connotate the genre of my movie which is horror/ thriller which will also entice the viewer into watching the movie.
Below the main image I will place my tagline so it is easy to see when looking at the poster and may entice the viewer to see the movie. By placing my tagline there it will tell the viewer about what may happen in the film and may entice them into going a seeing the movie.
I have include the names of the cast at the side of the title which is there to entice the viewer to watch the film if they know the cast.
The title is in the centre of top of the poster as I want it to stand out on the page to entice the viewer to watch the movie and so the poster and movie will stick in there head if they see it again.
At the top of the poster I have included a space to put a review in which will entice the viewer to watch the movie as if they see that it is getting good reviews they may think that it will be a good film.
Similar to my first flat plan, I have decided to place the billing block along the bottom of the movie poster. Placing the billing block here is a convention used by most movie posters due to the amount of text included in a billing block.

Horror Genre
Here I have done a mood-board reflecting on the genre of the teaser trailer I am going to produce.
Inspiration for Movie Teaser Trailer
Here are a few things that i liked about The Gallows Teaser Trailer.

I like that throughout the teaser trailer they have included short reviews about the movie that they have received which would make more people want to go and watch the film when it comes out.

I like the that they have continued with the red filter throughout the whole teaser trailer which makes the viewers interested in watching more of the film and also builds on the tension and atmosphere.
I liked that they changed the sky and the whole first two screens red which continues throughout the whole teaser trailer as the colour red is a connotation for blood or death which helps to get across the genre of the movie.
I like that in the middle of the teaser trailer they say what Blumhouse productions have already made which may incise more people to watch the film when it comes out in the cinema.
